West Point Update
The new Kia plant in West Point, GA began production on November 16, 2009 with a white 2011 Kia Sorento. Kia's manufacturing facility will produce 300,000 vehicles annually.
It is a ray of hope for about 15,000 people who will benefit from not only the jobs the Kia plant itself will provide, but the jobs for Kia's suppliers as well. With all of the automotive manufacturing facilities closing their doors these days, this it the economy saving boost America needs.
When you buy a Kia, your money goes to giving Americans jobs. This new facility started manufacturing the 2011 Kia Sorento in November, with an estimated 75-90% of the parts content to have been manufactured in the USA. Why invest anywhere other than the USA?
